On Sunday we were able to celebrate with the members of St Paul's Lutheran church. The official ground breaking service was held out at the former Bachrach warehouse. Everyone gathered for a service and then in Lutheran tradition, a potluck.
The men gathered around the grills and began doing whatever they do when grills are lit.
Pastor Wray prepares for the service, then Vicar David leads the way with the cross into the building. They cut a whole into the concrete floor to expose some dirt. The shovel they used was the same shovel the congregation used on every other building project that they had done. It was so exciting to be there for the service and as we were leaving the building they were handing out balloons that had the church's information and service times attached to the bottom of the string,
James decided to play with his balloon while he waited for everyone to exit the building.
Trevor playing with his red balloon. Jon is talking to Todd and Trey, I noticed that the two little boys have balloons that match their shirts.
Everyone starting to come out. Jon was talking to Anna and I think he was also playing peek-a-boo with her. James decided to check out a little chair.
Ready!
1, 2, 3, let them go!!!
After the balloon launch James went to play with Trey's car.
An impromptu game of baseball happened.
