Grand Forks, ND

We headed up to Grand Forks, ND for the first time with the first round of our things.  We stored some furniture and other items at Jon's parents house, and to save money on the final trip we rented a pull behind trailer and Grandpa hooked it up to his van and we headed north.  The trip took a little over 20 hours, but James was a great traveler, he started to get fussy near the end but who can blame him.  After we arrived in Grand Forks and he was able to run around he became very weary of getting back into his car seat.

We received the dollar tour of the church and day care and we received a very warm welcome from everyone.  We met several members of the congregation and we were able to see the town as well as the University of North Dakota.  It was a little chilly and I forgot my sweatshirt so we went to the book store and found some great deals.

After a long day James decided to get comfortable and watch the Tony Awards.  The mattress was our makeshift wall, the pack-n-play was set up behind it, this allowed us to put James to bed and not have to go to bed ourselves.

On our way back to IA we saw a John Deere combine and decided to take a look at it.  James was a good traveler on the way back to IA, and when we left there to come back to STL, he was also very good.  It is a good thing that he has a month to prepare for the next very long trip.
