The boys started the Easter fun on Saturday with an Easter box that came from Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt Jeanie and Auntie Em. Inside were many treats but Michael was drawn to the pin wheel. He played with this for 15 minutes straight.
James loved the new puzzles and he worked on them with Dad.
Later on we dyed Easter eggs. The boys used markers to draw on the eggs and then they had fun dropping them in the different colors.
We invited the Kriewalls over for Easter dinner. I made bunny napkins, I thought they turned out very well.
On Easter morning Jon woke up early and was at our congregation by 6:00 to preach for our Sunrise service. He then went over to MN to preach at the two vacancy congregations. The boys did surprisingly well in church, they just sat there and listened. It was a wonderful Easter gift. Michael loved saying Alleluia! With all the hymns that we sang he was able to sing and say it several times.
After Jon came home it was time to hunt for Easter eggs.
The boys enjoyed the nice weather and of course the chocolate inside the eggs.
They played outside with Jon while I finished cooking the meal.
After dinner we went outside again to play. It had hit 70', it was beautiful. Michael helped rake some of the leaves into a pile while James ran through them with the stroller.
We had a wonderful Easter celebrating the resurrection of our Lord.
