We had our 4th annual chili cookoff. This was the Missions Boards booth, they were the winning booth.
There was a jail and Jon and James managed to get arrested. Actually, Jon had a warrant out for his arrest for "shepherding a flock" and he just brought James in with him. They played with the hats while they waited for a kind soul to bale them out.
Michael was also playing with a hat, along with Mike and Rodney. I am not sure who was having more fun.
There was also an auction to put a pie in Pastor Fenske's, Jon's, the two youth leaders and two childcare workers faces. So for $40 James and I put a pie in Jon's face. James did not like it at all, he thought he hurt Jon so he started crying and he had to be consoled. Jon was the first one, and after 2 more went James realized it was a game and he thought it was funny.
James and Michael playing around another booth, this one was the Board of Trustees.
Moriah with the boys, as you can see James was pretty tired out after running around, going to jail and throwing pies.
A pie was not the only bid we won. James was very pleased that we were the winners of a new John Deere tractor. This was also a great way to end the evening.
