The past year with James

James has grown up so much.  He is a sweet big brother almost always willing to share and often concerned about Michael.  He is so active and such a little people person, he loves to shake hands on Sunday morning.  He is talking in sentences, figuring things out, helping out around the house and just amazes me every day.

James likes to be the photographer, so here he is taking pictures with the tri-pod.

I put the camera at his level but he was the one that moved it up and down or side to side to take the pictures.  I think he did a wonderful job.  The pictures above and below are ones that James took.
I thought I would take a cue from Rachel and Ryan and re-share some of my favorite quotes from face book about James.

Singing "I'm Alive" with James and Michael, we get to the chorus and start to sing "thank you, thank you, thank you" and I hear James singing " your welcome, welcome, welcome".

James: Is Michael sleeping?
Me: Yes, Michael is sleeping.
James: Be quiet then?
Me: Yes, we have to be quiet.
James: So no aaahhhhhh (really loudly).
Me: Yes James we don't yell now.
James: Ok.

James was looking at the Christmas tree.
Me: what are you thinking buddy?
James: where are the animals?
Me: what animals?
James: trees (are) homes to bunnies, squirrels, giraffes and owls.
Me: that's true, but this is a Christmas tree and we don't have any animals living in it.
James: (get) animals for (our) Christmas tree please.

James looking at a picture book of him and Michael,
James: (Is there a) baby in your tummy?
Me: No, there isn't a baby in my tummy anymore, Michael was the baby and he is out now.
James: Baby please.
Me: You want there to be a baby in my tummy again?
James: Yes please.
Me: Would you like another little brother?
James: No, sister please.
Me:  Give me a few more years and we will see what you get.

Me: Ok James, good night.
James: Sun awake.
Me: I know the sun is still out but it is still time for you to go to bed.
James: Turn sun off.
Me: I'm sorry I can't do that, but we can ask God to.
James: Ok

It has been a wonderful year full of many memories, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
