Happy Birthday James!

James is 3 years old!! Time really has flown by.  We had a small blizzard today so we started to celebrate last night by going to McDonalds.  Then because we knew we would be trapped inside all day, when James woke up he was able to open his presents.

He could not believe that all of the gifts were for him, and when we told him that he could open all of them he clapped with joy and jumped up and down.

James received more Thomas the Train things, which was perfect for him.  It also kept him busy through out the day.

 James enjoying his new gifts.

Michael just calmly sat and watched everyone.

James asked for a chocolate train cake, so I made him a chocolate train cake.  Henry the #3 train is the one coming out of the tunnel, I thought it was very fitting for his 3rd birthday.

James was so excited that I actually made him what he asked for.

Michael was a little upset that he could not have any cake.  Don't worry, in 6 months he will get his turn.

James was a little impatient and wanted to try it before I cut it.

This plate was given to James when he was born, this is the first time I was willing to let him use it.  He knows that it is a special plate and that it was for his birthday so he was careful with it.  He was excited to eat his birthday dinner of Parisian rice (rice), mustard glazed pork chops (chops), blackened brussel sprouts(baby lettuce) and pineapple(fruit).  The parentheses are what he actually asked for.  He enjoyed it all and at the end of the day he said his day was "happy".  What more can I ask for as a parent.
