James has started talking a lot more. Some of his new words that I can remember are please, more, ball, book, grandma, banana, paint brush (it's not just painting, it is paint brush), "grandpapa", juice, and no. James has come to love the word "no". He also does know what it means and will use it correctly. For instance, when he is playing with a toy, like Mr Potato Head and he has put shoes on him and then the shoes fall off and he wont stand up, James says "no, no, no". Or when I make dinner and place it in front of him at the table and he does not like it he will say "no, no, no". I will leave it there and eventually he will try to eat it. However, the funniest thing with the word "no" happened yesterday. James was in the bedroom with me and he found my scrapbooking stuff. I was getting a few things ready for trick-or-treating and was not really paying attention to him until I heard him say "no,no, no". He found the scissors and he knew he shouldn't be playing with them, so he was playing with two of them and telling himself no at the same time. I think he thought that if he said no, that maybe I would let him play with them, and he was disappointed when I removed all the scissors from the tote.
