First Day of School

James had his first day of school today.  It really wasn't too different because he is still going to ICCC at church.  He did change teachers and his room, and he is now going 3 mornings a week instead of 2.
There is a blessing and a challenge when it comes to James attending Pre-school at church.  The blessing obviously being that Jon is right there if he needs something, and that Jon takes him because he works in the same place.  The challenge is that James is one of the more challenging kids because he thinks he runs the place.  He knows the church a lot better than some of the other kids and he also knows where the candy is stored and how to get into places that he shouldn't.  He is also known by everyone(when he runs off people keep a tally of where he has gone so that he can be found easily), which I am pretty sure it is because his teachers have yelled his name in the hall several times.
Other than needing to learn how to sit down and stay in the classroom, he is doing well.  He knows his alphabet, colors and his numbers.  He can count to 30 and his oral comprehension is equal to a 6 year old (when Jon found out he said, "oh, so he does understand us, he just chooses to ignore us"). He is learning how to do simple math, speak in sentences and to count to 50.  So he is learning, he is just being a challenge as well.
When I talked to James about going to Pre-school and I asked him what he thought he said "I am big like Daddy now.  Then I will be as big as the door and then as big as the curtains!"  So he is very excited.
Michael and I took a walk to pick up James, he loves his sunglasses and that he does not have to hold his bottle.
