Fighting Back

James wanted to build a race track after nap time.  Michael was also awake and wanted to help him out.  Michael watched carefully as James started to put the pieces together.  After a little while Michael picked up a yellow track piece and went to connect it.  James got upset, pushed him away and pulled the track away.  Michael then picked up a red track piece and tried again, but the results were the same.  James pushed him away and pulled the track away.  So Michael tried one more time with a blue piece, but once again the results were the same.  Distraught, Michael sat down and started to cry.  I picked him up and placed him on my lap and I started to read to him.  We were sitting right next to the book case (on the chair), which pleased Michael because he could just reach over and grab some books.  After the first book he reached over and pulled about 5 off of the book shelf.  I opened one and before I could read anything Michael had one book in each hand and he chucked them at his brother who was playing with the race track at my feet.  He did hit him and I tried not to laugh as James told Michael that he shouldn't throw.  As Michael was reloading to fire his books at his brother again I picked him up and took him to another room.  I can't blame Michael for trying to get James back, however I don't want two crying kids either.
