We went back to IA, and Ryan, Rachel, Bella and Bo joined the fun. We wanted to take advantage of the nice weather and go for a swim at Backbone State Park, there the kids could play in a little river.
We also watered the lawn by letting the kids run through the sprinkler.
Bo is sporting a new fashion trend of helmet and trunks with no shirt.
All of our anniversary's fall around the same time, as a gift Grandpa and Grandma watched all the kids and paid for us to go out. Before we went we posed for pictures. It was wonderful to eat a hot meal right away and not have to worry about cutting up food or who was making a mess or being loud. The biggest concern was whether or not it was ok to order mac-n-cheese when the kids weren't there. Thank you Mel and Barb, we had a great time!
While we debated about the mac-n-cheese, Grandpa and Grandma ordered pizza .
The next night Jonathan taught James how to play with fire.
We also had a few good family shots.
The pictures are a little out of order, and there are quite a few so I will just leave them. Here are some more pictures from the State Park. What you do not see are all the bugs that swarmed us that were also allergic to bug spray.
We celebrated Jonathan and Rachel's birthday with red cake.
All of them were sitting nicely, that is until the cameras came out.
We also went to a water park. It was perfect because there was a little kid area with a zero depth entry pool, and water slides for the parents.
Jon and Rachel are going down and Becky is in the water.
