Cindy (also known as Nana), our friend from the Seminary came up for a visit. Bill her husband stayed in Bloomington, IL where he is a campus pastor. Cindy, Bill and their daughter Molly will be coming up again in July with some other seminary friends for a visit.
Cindy had a gift for James mailed to our house because it was too big to take on the plane, James was very curious to see what it was.
It turned out to be a marble works thing. I don't know who was more excited about it, James or Jon. Here he is helping Nana set it up.
He did think that he knew more about this and he did tell her what to do.
This is how you mix the eggs.
Remember you only pour to that line.
Now you pour the batter in this pan.
They did a wonderful job with the brownies, and it was a nice surprise for Jon when he got home.
Playing in the box of parts.
I built this one too high so he had to stand on the chair to put the marble in. I took this picture right before he pushed the tower over, that is also a new favorite game of his. Jon and I build the towers, he tries them out and then he destroys them. Jon has more patience for this game than me.
