Cardboard sleds and other photos

James loves Friday and Saturday because he knows it is his day to spend the day with Dad.  He usually is very excited and he sings all day just because Jon does not have to go into work, it is really wonderful to see them together.

Here they are watching Curious George.

Clearing out the driveway with Dad, a great way to get out the energy before nap time.

There is this annual event/contest in Grand Forks, it is where you build a sled using only cardboard and duck tape.  You then have to send it down the hill with at least one person in it, and it has to go a certain length and it has to hold up at least on one run.  I think the longer it lasts the more points you get, but I am not sure.  James loved watching the boxes go down the hill, there was a tractor and a truck and I think those were his favorite.  Jon, Pastor Fenske and I enjoyed watching the boxes take out other kids, we only laughed after we knew they were ok :).

Some of the sleds that were built.

Jon's favorite sled was the snow speeder complete with a storm trooper helmet.

Does the cardboard sled thing have age categories?

Yes Sarah, they have age categories. James can even enter a sled next year, he just has to be willing to go down the hill in it.
