Christmas in KC

We made it safely to Kansas City and James did a good job traveling.  When we got there we were greeted by 6 dogs, James loved it.  Steve and Rachel were dog sitting for a friend and of course we did not mind because there was plenty of entertainment for James.

James found some chapstick in his stocking, and despite some of Jon's best efforts to make him think chapstick is gross, James loves the stuff.  As soon as he pulled it out of the stocking he wanted it on.

James decided to try his hand at Rock Band, I think he might have been a little overwhelmed at first so Grandma stepped in to help him.  Of course he improved once the played the right song, Living on Prayer by Bon Jovi.

We had some beautiful days in KC, so we took advantage of it and played outside.  The dogs helped James get out his energy.

One of the gifts James recieved from Grandpa and Grandma was a Thomas the Train station play set.  He loves trains and here he is "filling" up his water bottle at the water pump.

We also had the chance to celebrate Steve, Rachel's and James' birthdays while we were there.  They each had a candle on the cake, for Steve Darth Vader, Rachel had the number 25 and James the number 2.

Steve and Rachel also received matching shirts and James loved his Thomas books and pillow and his very own puppy.

Showing Uncle Steve his new book that Grandma made for him.

Decorating gingerbread houses, James tasted his more than he decorated it.
Reading with Grandma.

James loved to play with Pixie, the new puppy.

Playing with Aunt Jeanie and Auntie Em.

Reading with Aunt Rachel.
On the way back home James enjoyed playing with his box more than anything, it was a nice quiet car toy.

James decided that he needed to cover up and sleep on the way home.
