Grandpa and Grandma Buescher were able to join us for Thanksgiving. It was a short visit because Grandma now works on Sundays, but it was a lot of fun.
Of course there was a game of basketball.
This is the best picture I could get of them in their Thanksgiving outfits. I only asked that they walk through the doors of church with their jackets on, and that is all James did. Michael took his off halfway through the service.
Both boys enjoyed extra people to play with them. Grandpa helped Michael set up the nativity and Grandma and James built a road with the Bible blocks.
I bought a paper table cloth last year on clearance, it has all kinds of things for kids to do and color on it. I think that might have been Michael's favorite part.
Here is a little Thanksgiving story for Aunt Marilyn, I made pumpkin roll for dessert. I read the family recipe and I was certian it said 2-3 boxes of cream cheese, it actually said 2 3oz boxes of cream cheese. So instead of a pumpkin roll with 6oz of cream cheese, we had a 24oz cream cheese roll with a little bit of pumpkin. It was a good laugh and it still tasted good.
On Friday we celebrated Christmas early.
Michael loves his books and new ball.
James was very excited about his new bike and his puzzle.
I am sure Grandpa and Grandma thought the highlight of the weekend was being entertained by the singing objects. James and Michael loved to play all of them at once making a very loud unintelligible concert.
Grandpa and Michael put the bike together for James, this is his first time trying it out.
Michael is using the air pump to sing along to the radio.
Trying the bike outside.
