The Bathroom

Here are a few picture of our bathroom before we had to redo it.  The top middle picture shows some of the problems that caused us to move quickly.  We had a plumber, and electrician and a contractor (no this isn't the start of a joke)come in and they all told us to do it as soon as possible.  It was scheduled to begin July 1st, and it still is not complete.  But I am really excited with the results so far that even though we are not done I wanted to share them with you.

So you can see that Kenny(our plumber) was able to raise the ceiling so that it was level with the rest of the bathroom.  Which meant that Jon was able to get a rain head installed.  This project took about 4 extra weeks, but the end results were worth it.  Oh, and yes, the toilet was in front of my dresser.  After being home for a week with that still there I had Jon move it.

So as you can see it is not quite finished yet, we still have to put up the trim and put in a mirror, but it is so much better than what it was.  We are very happy with how it turned out and we will be excited once it really is finished.  James still calls it his new bathroom and it feels so much bigger.  My favorite part is the tile that is on the floor and smaller versions of it are above the vanity and around the shower.  The vanity is taller so we now need to buy a double step step-stool for the boys.
