Beethoven or Stevie Wonder???

We had a great Fathers Day today.  Jon was a guest preacher for one of the pastors in MN while they were out of town. So this morning we traveled to two little towns called Euclid and Fisher.  It was a triangle with 30 minutes travel time to each church and back home.  I enjoy the idea of going with Jon when he preaches at other churches, but in reality it is not such a great idea.  The boys are out of their routine and they tend to push the boundaries a little more.  Thankfully all the members of those congregations think the antics that the boys pull are cute (especially if we visit an older congregation that no longer has young families). For instance, James thought it would be a good idea to help Jon serve communion today so when we reached the rail he crawled through and volunteered his services.  Of course I can't believe he did that and I know he knows better, but everyone else got a chuckle out of it.  Laughter is always better than the alternative.
As a special Fathers day weekend treat, Michael has started blaming everything on Jon.  For instance, I asked him who dropped all the food on the floor, he will point to Jon and say "dada".  He will also use Jon to get a way with something, like if he throws a book or starts climbing up the stairs and I ask him what he is doing, he will say "dada" hoping that I will believe that Jon said he could.  He is a little character who makes me laugh as much as his brother does.

So you are probably curious about the title of the blog, the title comes from Jon's after dinner gift.

We were given an antique organ from one of our neighbors.  So for Fathers Day James and Michael played a song in honor of Jon.  I thought Michael looks like Stevie Wonder in the picture but he plays like the beginning of Beethoven's 5th.

James is also so excited to have an instrument in the house that he can play.  I will have to find someone to give him lessons.

Here is a sample of the concert that was given tonight, enjoy.
