In James' Eyes

There are a few things that I have noticed James do consistently, and I have figured out that he likes certain things done a certain way, for instance:
- Milk should always be warm and contain chocolate, if there is no chocolate in it what is the point.
- A large 20 piece floor puzzle should take an hour (at least) to put together, if it is shorter than that the pieces will disappear under the couch.
- Cars look better in a line, and the cool ones go in the middle.
- Every basket made should get applause, if praise is not received he will come and clap your hands for you.
- Grapes taste better two at a time (you should try it).
- The best way to work on a car is on the couch, good luck trying to find a large enough couch to work on a real car.
- You should clap when you watch a movie.  We have watched Cars at least twice a week
(mainly the beginning and the end) and every time Lighting McQueen makes it out of the pile up James claps for him and gets excited, so now I clap too.
- Bath time should last for an hour (however that has not happened yet, and he scowls every time I tell him that it is time to get out).
- Higher is better.  James has started climbing on everything he can, thankfully he has learned what he is not allowed to climb on and he will listen to me.
- A car is a fair trade for anything.  Usually when I am cooking he will come up to me and place a car on the counter and wait for something in return.  It cannot be a snack or his drink, it has to be something that I am using.  I have learned to "use" wooden spoons and spatulas so that when he wants to make a trade I have something to give him.
- And of course outside is always better than inside, I am not sure this will ever change, but I am ok with that.

These are a few things that we have noticed.  He is growing up so fast and learning so much, it is nice to stop and watch him and try to figure out what he thinks about everything.
