It is hard to believe that August is almost over. We have had a month full of fun and busy things. Here are a few highlights.
Michael loves to read the comics. He will laugh out loud like Jon and I do whenever he reads them, I think he thinks that is required. The boys can also smile and laugh a lot because we all went to the dentist and we all had good reports. James still loves to go and Michael is getting better.
We spend a lot of time outside playing or sitting. When we are in the backyard Michael will ask me to light the bug candles. He really is annoyed when bugs mess up his play time.
James is shucking some sweet corn and Michael is in the background helping me with the laundry.
We also went to the eye doctor and the boys did great there as well. James and Michael love all of the gadgets and robot like tools. I am happy that we have an eye Dr with just as much energy as the boys.
After a few symptoms that kept occurring we had James tested for allergies. He is allergic to dust mites and cats. They tested him for 10 common things kids come into contact with. One of those things was cockroaches, he tested negative with most. I know I have not been tested but I am pretty certain that I am allergic to cockroaches so I will make sure that I destroy any I see.
Moriah helped me with the boys and played with them at the park. She really tired them out for me.
Daniel takes after his brothers, he loves to be outside and he loves to swing.
We have had some hot days of weather in the mid 80's, so we have gone to the splash park and played in the water at home.
James is being a little pill here. I told him that he can't go into the front room because Daniel is sleeping (and he always touches him and wakes him up). So he gets a chair and puts it right on the edge of the carpet and sings to Daniel. Before you think this is sweet, the song was "I am not touching the carpet, I am on the wood, I am not touching the carpet, I am on the wood".
James was in the ICCC Summer program. He told me after the program "mom I did not sing because I was too tired", he did do all of the motions though.
So far this month has been full of check ups and out door fun. It just reminds us that we have a lot to be thankful for. We are all healthy and we are able to laugh and have fun outside. I hope that we have another 3 months of great outdoor weather.
