Post Thanksgiving festivities

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year.  We invited Vickie (the church's secretary) and her daughter Tessa over.  James was so excited to have new people to play with and Michael enjoyed the extra attention as well.  But, before the turkey was finished and while I was still getting ready for the meal James wanted to come and help me.  I had everything out on the counter and each item was organized by what dish it was going to be.  For example I had croutons and salad dressings (unopened) together, olives, pickles and peppers, yams and apples and so on.  James picked up each one and asked me what it was and I told him.  He then asked if it was good, I told him that it wasn't good right now but it will be once I cook it.  So he responded with "cook please".  He wanted me to make it right then so he could try it, and of course I wasn't doing anything at that moment so I could fulfill his wish immediately.  Instead of a yam casserole he had apple sauce and he was happy with that.  The next funny moment came at the dinner table when James saw the turkey on the table.  He asked Jon what it was and of course Jon told him it was a turkey so James started to gobble like a turkey and point to the bird.  He was our little entertainment for the evening.

I did not get any pictures of the boys in their Thanksgiving outfits, but they did go to bed in matching pajamas.  I was so excited for them to wake up to Christmas decorations that I needed them to go to bed cute so they could wake up ready for pictures.  So as you can see they were ready for the camera.  James was very excited to see all of the decorations.
While James decorated the little tree, Michael played with his feet.  Both were fun to watch :)
James was so proud of the tree he decorated, he just sat and stared at it.

Afterwards it was time for Jon to shovel the driveway and side walks and for James to play in the snow.

James loved that there was a train under the tree, he didn't like that he couldn't play with it, but he was still very excited about it.

"I have an ornament, now if only I could reach the snowman"

The boys were listening to the dancing and singing snow man.
