Steeleville

After an exciting week we decided to head down to Steeleville to relax.  We are arrived just in time for Uncle David's famous pork steaks and Aunt Marilyn's cheesy potatoes.  After dinner we sat around a campfire (James tried to touch it to investigate) and just had a great time.  The next day we decided to take a walk to the playground the Dad, Cousin Jacob, Aunt Becky and Aunt Rachel used to play on when they were kids.

Before we left James wanted to try out the stroller, he could push it however he needs to remember to look where he is going.

Aunt Marilyn pulled out Cousin Jacob's tricycle, Dad taught him how to ride it standing up.

On our way to the park we stopped to watch a train pass by, James was so excited to see it.

James was not the only one excited to see the updated equipment at the playground.  Both Jon and Jacob went down a slide and Jacob and Aunt Marilyn were checking out the hippo.

Getting ready to go down the slide.
Aunt Marilyn is ready to help and Cousin Jacob is ready to catch.
Walking across the rickety, bouncy, fun bridge.
Dad helping with the rings.
After that Jon and James took a spin on the merry-go-round, James was not too sure about this ride.
Then we were safe and played on the tracks, despite our upbringings and the school movies that we had to watch telling us never to play on the tracks.
After a nap, Cousin Jacob and James played a little ball.
Then James helped mow the lawn the hard way.
Dad and cousin Jacob playing with the bat and balls, and mainly talking.
James laying down on the job.
After an unsuccessful attempt to mow the lawn, James decided to redecorate with Uncle David's decoys.
Then he saw the real lawn mowers and wanted to know why he wasn't allowed to use those.
But he was soon distracted by a large tub that makes a lot of noise when you stomp in it.
