Things we love.

Taking a cue from Becky, we decided to publish a few things we love about being parents and life.

James loves:

Bath Time - This is his favorite time of the day.  I usually have to stop him several times a day from crawling to the bathroom because he wants to check out the tub and see if there is any water in it yet.

Going Outside - We take at least one walk a day.

Swinging - His favorite thing to do at the park is to swing, if I would let him I am sure he would be there all day.  He also likes to go down the slide, but only when Dad is there.

Cheese- This is a new discovery, he loves cheese even more than fruit.

Applesauce - Especially if it is homemade, he can't seem to get enough of it.  It's a good thing I have plenty in the freezer.

Exploring - He loves to crawl around and explore every nook and cranny, at least he is learning something new everyday.

Church - He loves going to church, I think it is all the attention and the music.  I am sure he will love the Reformation service that we will have on campus.

C-3PO - This little soft toy that I found at a thrift store is his bed buddy.  He holds him every time we put him down to sleep.  

Books - When he is sleepy he loves being read to, especially if the book is a "touch and feel".

Sarah Loves:

Watching James learn - I love to watch him try new ways to get his toys that have rolled under furniture.  He is getting pretty good at retrieving the toys on his own.  Every once in a while he will look to me for help if they have rolled too far back.   When he is outside and he hears something new, or sees something new and he just focuses on it and tries to figure it out.  I would love to hear him process everything as he is learning.
Giving James new foods - He loves to eat, and I love the faces he makes when he tries something for the first time.  Beer and pickles had the same face, he did not like them.  However ice cream and applesauce (not together) are a favorite.
Cuddle Time - This only happens when James is sleepy or not feeling well, so I enjoy every minute that I have.
James' laugh - When he gets going he has this great belly laugh and you can't help but join in and laugh with him.  And I like tickling him often.

Spending everyday with James.

Jon Loves:
Shoulder Rides - James loves to be up high, and I know he's smiling big even though I can't see his face; he does 'giddy up' with his legs when he's excited.
 Getting into mischief - James has a wonderful 'evil genius' laugh that makes getting into things a lot of fun.  He is also very good and ignoring the things he should play with, and finding everything we don't want him to.
Going for car rides - He doesn't always like going for a ride, but it's fun to be out at places with him.
